Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Serenity Light is in-network with most major insurance providers.
Getting started is simple. The first step is to contact our admissions team for a confidential conversation about your needs, your history, and your recovery goals. We’ll answer your questions, verify your insurance benefits when applicable, and help determine whether our inpatient program is the right fit for you. From there, we guide you through every step so you never feel like you’re navigating the process alone.
The length of inpatient treatment can vary because recovery looks different for every person. Many clients begin with a 30-day stay, while others may benefit from longer treatment such as 60 or 90 days depending on their medical needs, mental health concerns, and recovery progress. Your treatment team will work with you to create a personalized plan that gives you the strongest foundation for long-term healing.
Both therapies can be helpful in recovery, but they focus on different skills.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you identify unhealthy thoughts and behaviors so you can replace them with healthier patterns. It’s often used to address addiction triggers, anxiety, depression, and negative self-talk.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) focuses more on emotional regulation, stress tolerance, and improving relationships. It can be especially helpful for people who feel overwhelmed by intense emotions.
At Serenity Light, your clinical team may recommend one or both approaches depending on your individual needs.
Yes. Many people struggling with addiction also experience mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or PTSD. Our team provides treatment for co-occurring disorders, also known as dual diagnosis, so both substance use and mental health concerns can be addressed together. Treating both at the same time often leads to stronger, more lasting recovery.

In addition to inpatient treatment, Serenity Light may offer continued care options that can include outpatient or virtual support depending on your clinical needs and location. These programs can help clients maintain progress after residential treatment while staying connected to professional support. Our admissions team can help determine which level of care is most appropriate for you.
Your first day is focused on helping you feel safe, welcomed, and supported. After arrival, you’ll meet with members of your care team, complete a clinical assessment, review your medical history, and settle into your living space. You’ll also begin discussing your personalized treatment plan. Most importantly, the first day is about helping you feel comfortable and reminding you that you do not have to face recovery alone.
